ΓΛΩΣΣΙΚΑ ΔΑΝΕΙΑ

 Με αφορμή τις λέξεις που αναλύσαμε στο σημερινό μάθημα εξετάζοντας την προέλευσή τους (π.χ. "τηλεόραση", "τηλεϊατρική"), μιλήσαμε και πάλι για το πόσο η αρχαία ελληνική γλώσσα έχει επηρρεάσει τις υπόλοιπες γνωστές ευρωπαϊκές γλώσσες. 

 Θέλοντας να δείξει ακριβώς αυτό, ο πρώην διοικητής της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδας, αλλά και πρωθυπουργός για ένα μικρό διάστημα, Ξενοφών Ζολώτας προσπάθησε να εκφωνήσει έναν λόγο σε ένα διεθνές συνέδριο του 1957, χρησιμοποιώντας μόνο λέξεις που δανείστηκε η αγγλική γλώσσα από την αρχαία ελληνική.
